Nick Fuentes has already invited much trouble over the years. Just as the pinned comment on his X account reads, “ 7 years ago I was by Ben Shapiro at age 18 because I said he puts Israel first and 5 years ago I was canceled by Charlie Kirk, because I questioned his support of mass migration, gay pride and the Israel lobby.” Fuentes has his fair share of controversy.
Wife’s Indian heritage questioned
Things took an interesting turn when Fuentes commented on Republican candidate JD Vance’s wife Usha Vance who is of Indian heritage. Fuentes says “J.D. Vance also has an Indian wife and a kid named Vivek. All his kids have Indian names—so it’s like, what exactly are we getting here? And that’s not a dig at him just because I’m a racist or something. But who is this guy really?”.
Vance reacted to this comment by saying he “disavows” Nick Fuentes. In his interview with Megyn Kelly he says, “Donald Trump has also criticized this person. Look, I think the guy’s a total loser. I absolutely disavow him. But if you ask me what I care more about, it’s not personal attacks but rather government policies that discriminate based on race. That’s my real concern.” Vance also says it’s best to “ignore” such comments and “not feed the trolls”.
Controversial Fuentes
This is not the only time Fuentes has attacked JD Vance’s wife Usha Vance for her heritage. In another X post Vance posts a picture of their marriage with the title, “So this is the guy who is supposed to build the wall and start the mass deportations? I don’t think so!”
The Justice department of America labels the 25 year old Fuentes as a white supremacist. He first gained traction when he was found to be involved with 2017 Charlottesville’s far-right violent rally. Fuentes urges his followers to, “storm every state capitol” and to “Destroy the GOP”.
